Threads Dev Interview #20: A fun conversation about Software, AI and No-code

I recently took part in an edition of the Threads Dev Interviews.

Ryan Swanstrom conducts these awesome interviews, nearly every day on Threads, where he connects with developers on Threads, and interviews them — on Threads! It is a remarkable format, and I have seen nothing like it. These interviews have become part of my daily “must-reads” on the internet. They tend to be engaging and cover a lot of ground.

Ryan was very kind to interview me for of these interviews, and we covered subjects from No-code to AI. It was fun!

Now, while Threads is great (!!!), I am once-bitten-twice-shy after the whole Twitter debacle, so I took the time to capture the entire interview, and replay the interview on my blog.

I am splitting the interview across different blog posts (listed below), so that it does not become one long post. I link the original Threads posts, along with their archived versions on the Wayback Machine. Hope you enjoy some/all of them!

In addition to the questions above, Ryan offered me a chance to provide my professional background, which I was happy to supply:

“I currently work at Microsoft (on the Outlook product); been here for a while now. Before this, in a former life I got my phd in Software Engineering from UC Irvine; and I studied computer engineering in my undergrad.”

Ryan is a very engaging interviewer and this interview was a novel experience for me. This is also the most engaged I have been on social media (ever!). I sincerely suggest following Ryan on Threads!

Hope you like of these interviews. I am happy to chat more if you are interested!
